Office Visits

Complimentary Orthodontic Consultation in Centralia WA

We would like your first visit to be both pleasant and informative. Your initial appointment is an opportunity for us to review you medical and dental history, examine your teeth, gums, and jaws, to answer your questions, and to explain our finding to you. If treatment is indicated, many times we’re able to complete orthodontic records while you are at the first visit, which will eliminate the need to schudule an additional appointment. Usually we are able to give you an idea of the correction possible, approximate length of treatment time, and an estimate of the treatment fee and payment options.

Appointments During COVID-19

Our community has been through a lot over the past year, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your orthodontic care and your safety. Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow and subscribe to these agencies because your safety is of the utmost importance to us.

Our affiliation with these organizations insures that we are up to date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued. Infection control has always been a top priority, and you may have noticed during this your visits to our office. We have established infection control processes that have been in place for the safety and comfort of our patients and for our own protection as well, and ask that you please follow these guidelines:

  • If you have been asked to quarantine, we can’t see you until the quarantine period has ended and preferably 1 week further.
  • If you have had COVID, we must schedule your appointment 15 days after symptoms have disappeared and have had a negative COVID test.
If you are experiencing any symptoms of illness, i.e., runny nose, sore throat, stomach issues, please reschedule your appointment.
  • Please brush your teeth before arriving at the office. The brushing station needs to remain closed at this time.
  • Patients are asked to Wear a mask to the office or will be provided a mask upon arrival. Patient masks will be worn other than during their in-chair visit.
  • We have hand sanitizer that we will ask all patients to use upon entry as well as rinse with Listerine or oral peroxide rinse.
  • A Wellness Screening will be performed upon entry that will consist of taking the patients temperature and answering a few health related questions. Please be sure to fill these two forms out ahead of time if you have access to a printer:
    COVID-19 Health Questionnaire
    COVID-19 Informed Consent
  • A minor patient without a Consent Form and no parent/guardian to complete at the office will have their appointment rescheduled.
  • Social distancing, whenever possible, will be practiced; this may include limited seating or a closure of our waiting room.
  • We ask that only the patient come in for their appointment. If a parent would like to escort their child, then only one parent will be allowed and will also be subject to the full check-in protocol, including wearing a mask.
  • Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients.
  • We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the numerous steps ( air sterilizers, non-aerosol procedures, staff screening, etc.) we take to keep you, and every patient safe in our practice.

Regular Appointments

The initial appointment when you get your appliances (braces, expanders, etc.) usually takes about an hour. You then see us at regular intervals 6 to 10 weeks apart for adjustments, which usually take 20 to 40 minutes. Patients are seen by appointment only. We make every effort to be on time for our patients and ask that you extend the same courtesy to us. If you cannot keep an appointment, please notify us 48 hours in advance.
